Pak Jano is the founder of cooperative credit union Pintu Air and a pivotal leader in Flores Island community. Pak Jano is a veteran of Indonesian finance institution and credit union leadership. With 385,500 members currently, Pintu Air started from a family social gathering in Rotat village with 50 members in 1994. In 1995 it officially launched as a savings and loan and in 1996 achieved its present credit union status. Pak Jano has led the organistion from inception and has established 71 credit union banking branches spread throughout Indonesia, and 31 banking branches situated throughout Flores Island. Previously he was the head of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Maumere. He retired from commercial banking in 2010 to focus entirely on developing Pintu Air. Currently active on the board of St. Michael Church of Nita and St. Stephen church of Rotat. In recognition of Pak Jano’s many achievements, Pintu Air credit cooperative received an award from the INews Media Group in the category of Innovative Strategy for Accelerating Cooperative Development in 2023.

Pak Wanto is a son of Maumere from Nilo area which is a productive agricultural producing district of many tropical foods including candlenut, coconut and coffee. From his home area he has cultivated and maintained an interest in agriculture and in business development. Pak Wanto graduated with a Bachelor of Economics in Management, Krisnadwipayana University, Jakarta in 2006 and returned to Maumere, Flores Island in 2008, joining KSP Kopdit Pintu Air Cooperative in the senior position of Deputy in Charge of Business. In this key role he is controlling and planning the financial operations of the credit union and the various direct investment entities which include energy, manufacturing, trading and retail operations.

Ibu Ine is an experienced commercial manager with wide experience. She graduated with a Bachelor of Chemistry from Jakarta State University in 2004. During her tertiary study she taught chemistry in Jakarta while volunteering with World Vision and on graduating was a chemistry lecturer at Widya Mandira Kupang University. Ibu Ine has held senior sales and development roles for a major Indonesian pharmaceutical manufacturer and distributor and was part of Siloam Kupang Hospital management. After relocating home to Maumere in 2021 she was appointed Operational Manager for Puskopdit Swadaya Utama (Center of cooperative credit unions providing services and financial facilities to all Indonesian cooperative credit unions) from which she was head hunted to join Kopdit Pintu Air and was key to assisting in the establishment of the joint venture between Old Station Road and Kopdit Pintu Air, where she now assumes the position of Head of Operations for Flores Island Coffee for Pt. Pintu Air Kopi Flores.

A commercial background in technology development, IT businesses operations in USA, property and beverage brands investment, Greg has wide start-up and operational experience in western and asian markets. A long-time resident of Singapore, Hong Kong and Bali he co-founded Old Station Road as a New Zealand to Asia business platform, connecting tourism and agricultural opportunities to technology, investment, product innovation and markets. In 2014 Greg founded a Bali based cold brew coffee business which has expanded internationally to Singapore and New Zealand. In New Zealand and Australia Greg has established both alcoholic beverage manufacturing and hospitality businesses.

Co-founder of Old Station Road, Haigan has established several smallholder farmer value addition projects within Indonesia, and agro-tourism and experiential conservation operations in Africa and Asia. Haigan co-founded the Coconut Knowledge Center in Bali in 2014, is an inaugural task force member of the Sustainable Coconut Partnership, and educates on food waste prevention through dry-chain approaches and tropical agroforestry systems for community level change in livelihoods, food security and climate change. Haigan has established value added manufacturing, brands and collaborations in Indonesia and India whereby smallholder agri-production may reach into domestic consumer markets.

Mike is half Indonesian and half English and has spent the last 22 years teaching English, after becoming CELTA qualified, starting at a well-known Language school in Jakarta. He then went on to start his own language services company, spent 6 years as an academic English lecturer at the Swiss German University in Jakarta and the past 4 years as an online teacher to Chinese corporate professionals. As an educator, he found his passion for communication. In the past year he has spent a lot of time in Maumere and sees many opportunities for local farms to maximise production and create viable paths from planting to processing to retail, ensuring that they are in control of their own profits. He has also formed important relationships which he hopes to develop in order to help local communities flourish.

Driven by a deep-seated passion for exploration and a thirst for new experiences, Sasha found herself irresistibly drawn to the dynamic culture of the coffee industry. Graduated from internationally accredited Indonesia Open University as a Bachelor of Law in 2023, Sasha brings a fresh perspective to our team, fostering a meaningful connection with authenticity, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the traditions.

Spending most of her time growing up in Maumere, Lio indigenous Bibiana have long live diligently and independently. Having finished her study as a Bachelor of Accounting in Nusa Nipa University, Bibiana started a catering business from home before honing diverse skill set and strong work ethic of hers on Indonesia’s leading telecommunication company. In which, it helped her seamlessly transitioned into the role of production(?) staff at our company.
